The certification level is shown on the vehicle emission control
ID tag (tune-up label) located in the engine compartment.
A converter certified for use on LEV vehicles can be used on vehicles certified to lower standards such as TLEV and TIER1. These converters are certified for LEV applications. THESE CONVERTERS CANNOT BE USED ON VEHICLES CERTIFIED TO ULEV STANDARDS OR VEHICLES WHICH ARE NOT INCLUDED ON THE APPLICATION LIST.
